Where I’m From:
The Midwest. I have spent most of my adult life in Minnesota.
My Education and Industry Experience:
I went to college to pursue Child Psychology, but fell into and in love with the insurance industry. I have worked in the business 32 years and enjoy sharing insight, options and lessons learned as an agent, underwriter and customer. I have attended several industry seminars to maintain my MN P&C license, and have completed AINS, API, AIC, CPCU and CIC designations.
I joined Concorde in 2006 as a Senior Underwriter in Personal Lines and am currently the Sales & Underwriting Manager for our Personal Lines and Program divisions. I am also a member of Concorde's Leadership team.
My Personal Interests and Hobbies:
I enjoy the beauty of nature, so time spent at home on the lake. Traveling through the Badlands of the Dakotas or the mountains of Montana & Wyoming brings me joy. I enjoy most genres of music; however, I am captivated by acoustic and a cappella performances.
My Unique Skill or Passion:
We (my husband, 2 daughters and I) have renovated 4 homes since I began working for Concorde, and I can find most things in Menards, Lowes and Home Depot faster than their own employees. One of our projects involved gutting and remodeling a 1902 2-story home with an octopus furnace and cistern tank in the basement. Our current home had interior and exterior renovations to maximize living space in a 1978 octagon design. I understand how "we will make a few cosmetic updates" morphs into a renovation project.
